In the following guide, I’m proposing some interior design ideas. Within the following guide, the mirror is viewed as something functional. There is also clearly a decorative function into the mirror. However sometimes these points may be forgotten.
The mirror is work:
Suppose there’s a little room e.g. a small-sized toilet. It’s used by the man for shaving for instance, to wash teeth. However, when a bit is really clearly functional as the mirror, then there are ways to make the mirror more decorative. I’m saying here that somehow, it is easier to make something so functional as the mirror inside this toilet setting into something decorative. You can aim to get a mirror with a portion of ornamentation or you can decide to get a certain kind of glass to the mirror. You may opt to get a certain color scheme in the bathroom and to use the mirror as the central element in this scheme.
However, when a mirror is really obviously functional, you can add mirrors that are more decorative in aim. You can have for instance, mirrors at the foot degree. You can have mirrors that just show the abdomen level.
The mirror is decoration:
From the living room, plenty of instances the mirror is put over the fireplace and when you think about it, there appears to be something decorative about it. It’s decorative in the feeling that the mirror appears to be the major decoration. It’s a central piece of decorative furniture and although its function is obvious, decoration appears to be the main purpose. If the major reason is decorative, then you can add to the interior by using other mirrors in a more functional setting and showing up the decorative purpose of the central mirror over the fireplace. Again within this living room setting, you can show up the functionality and decorativeness of the mirror item by adding mirrors at foot level along one of the walls.
Another interior design idea is to set a folding mirror in the corner. . A sort of triptych of mirrors that fold inwards… Another thought is to get a mirror on one wall continuing in the other walls; Different effects may be used- e.g. two long rectangular cushions of equal size at the corners of every wall…or else the cushions do not have to be the same size in any way. The mirror afterward is decoration and function. What about the mirror as space as something which creates space.
This is a well-known intention of a mirror. When you’ve got a large space e.g. a hallway you can use mirrors in various ways to create more space and you can aim for this effect in small spaces like an ordinary living room. Then the mirror may be used in such ways as to create the interior. This is sometimes achieved when there are mirrors along a complete wall. There may be continuous mirrors along a wall or just long vertical or vertical rectangles of mirrors. You may have a mirror, then background then a mirror again. If the area is rectangular, the corners of the room should have some design element. The corners of the rooms are where the walls ‘overlap’ and interior design effects may be used to highlight this area. The mirrors highlight in some way the central space but the side corners may also be emphasized through objects e.g. lampshades…
The mirror afterward is space…and it is function. . And a good interior design idea is to look at the mirror in a living area. If the mirror is all over the fireplace, then ask why it is there. Is it for decoration or function or a different reason or probably a mixture of all three. In a living room, you might be unintentionally using the mirror as a central decorative thing but you are not bringing out the full effect. This might be on account of the mirror itself or general bad interior design planning to your room. In interior design, the intention of the room is a significant idea. The question of having a certain purpose to your room arises whenever you’re taking a look at your room and its space. The mirror needs to have a particular purpose and this function can be brought out through how the mirror or mirrors unifies with the color tones in the room as well as the overall space and other furniture of the room.
